Kenzie’s Chromosome Crusaders is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 2016 as a way to provide hope and encouragement to parents who have received a diagnosis of Down syndrome for their child. Butterfly Baskets are our signature newborn celebration gift. They are currently provided at two hospitals in middle Georgia (where Kenzie was born) as well as four hospitals in Missouri and Illinois including Boone Hospital in Columbia, Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Hannibal Regional Hospital in Hannibal and Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.
Our organization also offers Heart Warrior Gift Boxes for children with Down syndrome who undergo heart surgery and our Love Every Chromosome® Prenatal Gift Bags for parents who receive a prenatal diagnosis of Down syndrome. Gift bags are currently available to doctor’s offices and clinics, medical professionals, churches and directly to parents all by request.
